  • CONVOCATION REPORTS. Convocation Attendees Return: Beth, Cita and Marilou returned from a Spirit-filled convocation in DC. Many stories to share.
  • NOVENA TO OLMC. Novena to OLMC and Feastday Mass: To all presenters — thank you, you did a wonderful job with your research and inspiring presentations. Lots of new knowledge about Our Mother Mary’s apparitions. To all attendees to the Novena and the Feastday Mass, God bless you all.
  • NO AUGUST MEETING. No Community Meeting in August. We are attending the DOR in Napa on August 16.
  • BIRTHDAYS. June and July Birthday Celebrants: Irene - June 23; Carmencita - July 16
  • 25-YEAR ANNIVERSARIES. 25-Year Anniversary of Full Profession: We’re very proud to announce our 2 Carmelite members who celebrated their 25th year of full profession on the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel: 1) Teresa, and 2) Hermania.
  • Future Events/Activities:
    • Regional Day of Recollection. Our next Day of Recollection will take place on August 16, 2025, at the Carmelite House of Prayer, 20 Mt. Carmel Drive, Napa. Registration cost is $35 to be paid at the door. Please sign up, as we will report the headcount to Christine, our Regional Coordinator. We have 3 drivers who volunteered: Maru, Dianne, Violy. We may need 1 more.
    • Parish Outreach. We are planning to have a “Community Day,” August 17. Pending approval of Holy Spirit Church’s Pastor, Fr. Ken, we plan to make our presence known in the parish. We will be setting up tables at the front and back of the church and will give out information material.
    • Regional Visitation. Visitation by Regional Coordinator Christine Campbell and Regional Formation Director Patrick Bowles on Sunday, September 21.

Lectio Divina for the September 21 community meeting is the gospel for the Twenty-fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Lk 16: 1-13.

Ongoing Formation Homework

  • Mary the Perfect Contemplative: Chapter 5, “The Finding of Jesus in the Temple”, pp. 110-126. Refer to the Gumbo/Potluck Analogy for assignment and discussion instructions.
